After a mad dash to a hair salon in which I offered double the price for a vintage knock off to resemble the one from last year,
Buddy the Elf is alive and well in our home.
At the end of this season, I'm going to post here where exactly I'm storing this naughty elf. Obviously my memory isn't what it used to be.

I have the one my grandmother sent me 50 years ago...I keep him in my classroom....works pretty good!

I'm so impressed. Last year when I forgot to move our elf for the third day in a row, I just told my kids he liked that spot because it was a good vantage point to make sure they weren't being jerks to each other and barely moved him after that ;).

I've already forgotten Chippey once..... luckily my kid is 2... but his memory is better than mine sometimes LOL

Ours retires to a small Christmas gift bag on the top shelf of my closet. If it wasn't right there in plain sight, I'd never remember where it was. And the kid's have never suspected a thing.
